About Us

We have decades of experience! Prior to founding Hylite Investigations LLC, Blane Barker worked in the Special Investigations Unit of a well known insurance company for 23 + years. With an emphasis on detection & prevention of fraud, his scope of investigations included auto, homeowner, commercial & farm/ranch claims. Additionally, he was a Certified Fire & Explosions Investigator for 15 years (NAFI # 9685-4939). Blane was also tasked with oversight of a Vendors Investigations platform, so he's well versed in the standards and expectations of independent investigative firms. He was a sworn police officer for 10 years before to transitioning to the insurance industry. Blane is currently a licensed private investigator in the State of Kansas.
